If any of you have seen “Sweet Charity” (the play and movie), there is a scene where hard-luck Charity bumps into a wealthy Big-Time Spender!
A sign pops up in the background that says, STROKE OF LUCK!
Well a stroke of luck happened for me too. I had my two month Duetto show at the gorgeous Mirella Cimato Gallery at Opera Central in St. Petersburg, Florida (see blog, Feeling the Love). As I was taking it down, I was told that the artist replacing me needed only one of the two gallery rooms.
Into the Woods, Mixed Media
…AND I could keep my work up in the second Gallery room for TWO MORE MONTHS! So for all of July and August, selected pieces of my mixed-media pieces will be on display at Opera Central. That means I am able to show my art for 4 months at a beautiful gallery with hundreds of visitors. Stroke of luck for sure!
A wonderful part of all of this is that when I sell my art, 50% of the proceeds goes to supporting our renowned St Petersburg Opera Company. In it’s 12th season, it’s receiving rave reviews. The 2017-2018 season includes Faust, La Traviata, The Magic Flute, Music Man and Seasonal Sparkle. I am a huge fan and honored to be able to help.
Join me at The Mirella Cimato Gallery at Opera Central from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on August 12th, Art Walks. Because it is a fundraiser for the Opera company, feel free to make an offer on the art.
